بلدية قباطية تأخذ خطوة جريئة نحو الطاقة الشمسية ومستقبل طاقة أكثر نظافة

بلدية قباطية تعلن عن شراكة جديدة مع مشروع الطاقة الفلسطيني الممول من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية وذلك لتركيب ألواح شمسية على سطح سوق الخضار المركزي في قباطية.
سيساعد تركيب هذه الألواح الشمسية الجديدة بتحسين تزويد الكهرباء إلى 30000 مقيم في قباطية. كما ستساعد اللوحات الشمسية على تعزيز النمو الاقتصادي في المنطقة من خلال توفير خدمة كهربائية مأمونة ذات موثوقية للبائعين والشركات التي تعمل في السوق. ونتيجة لذلك، سيتمكن المزارعون والبائعون الآن من تبريد وتخزين منتجاتهم في الموقع في ثلاجات تبريد جديدة تعمل البلدية على إنشائها في غضون أشهر.
حضر مراسم الاحتفال رئيس بلدية قباطية بلال عساف وأعضاء المجلس البلدي وممثلين عن المؤسسات المحلية والدولية شركات القطاع الخاص. حيث شدد عساف في كلمته على فوائد الطاقة الشمسية كاستثمار مالي سليم وكمسار تنمية سليم بيئياً. كما أشار إلى أن هذا الاستثمار يمكن تكراره بسهولة من قبل القطاع الخاص أو المؤسسات العامة في جميع أنحاء الضفة الغربية، مثل أسواق الخضار والبلديات الأخرى.
وأكد محمد كميل، المدير العام لغرفة تجارة وصناعة جنين وعضو مجلس بلدي قباطية على الفائدة التجارية لموردي السوق وزواره، مشيراً إلى أن توفر الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية سيمكن البلدية من انشاء منطقة التخزين الجديدة لتبريد المنتجات الزراعية بما يضمن تقليل كمية المنتجات التالفة بسبب عدم التبريد. كما أشار كميل إلى أنه ستكون هناك ورش عمل وفعاليات متابعة يستضيفها مشروع الطاقة الفلسطيني للشركات وأصحاب الأعمال المهتمين بمعرفة الطاقة المتجددة والتفاصيل حول كيفية تصميم هذه الأنظمة وتركيبها وتمويلها.
Qabatia Municipality takes a bold step towards solar energy and a cleaner future

The Qabatia Municipality announces a new partnership with the USAID-funded Palestinian Energy Project to install solar panels on the rooftop of the vegetable market in Qabtia City.
The installation of these new solar panels will help offset the electricity supply to 30,000 residents in the city. The panels will also help boost economic growth in the area by providing reliable electricity to vendors and businesses that operate at the market. As a result, farmers and vendors will now be able to store their produce onsite in a new refrigerated area.
Qabatia mayor Bilal Assaf and the city council attended the ceremony as well as representatives from the Chamber of Commerce in Jenin, NGOs and private sector. In his speech, Assaf stressed the benefits of solar energy as both a sound financial investment and as an environmentally sound path to development. He also noted that this is an investment which can be easily replicated by the private sector or by public institutions throughout the West Bank, such as other vegetable markets and municipalities.
Mohammad Kmail, General Director of the Jenin Chamber of Commerce and a Council Member in Qabatia, highlighted the commercial benefit to the market’s vendors and visitors, noting that the new refrigeration storage area ensures that less products go to waste. Kmail also noted that there will be follow up workshops and events hosted by the Palestinian Energy Project for companies and business owners interested in learning about renewable energy and details about how to design, install, and finance these systems.
